Overview

Seagit Tools provides free, browser-based developer tools. The tools themselves run entirely in your browser — content you paste or edit is processed locally and is not uploaded to our servers. This policy explains the limited data handling that does occur, primarily around cookies and advertising.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on some pages. Advertising helps keep these tools free to use. When ads are enabled and you consent, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Third-party advertising network

In addition to Google AdSense, every page of this site loads an ad tag from a third-party advertising network. This tag runs in your browser and may set cookies or similar identifiers, read your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and the page you are viewing, in order to select and measure the ads it shows. That processing is carried out by the network and its partners under their own privacy policies, not ours — we do not receive or store the data they collect.

Ads delivered by this network may appear as interstitial or full-page units, or as browser push notifications (see below), and not only as banners placed within the page.

You can limit this by using a browser or extension that blocks third-party scripts and cookies, by clearing cookies for this site, or by browsing in a private window.

Push notifications and the service worker

The ad network also registers a service worker at /sw.js, which can ask your permission to send browser push notifications. Notifications are only ever delivered if you explicitly allow them when your browser prompts you — declining the prompt stops them entirely.

To revoke permission later, use your browser's site settings for this site and set notifications to "Block". You can also remove the service worker itself: in Chrome or Edge, open DevTools → Application → Service Workers → Unregister; in Firefox, open about:debugging → This Firefox → Service Workers → Unregister. Clearing site data for this site does the same thing.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and which tools are used, so we can improve them. Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode: until you accept, no analytics cookies are stored. We do not use analytics to identify you personally, and the content you process in the tools is never sent to analytics.

Your consent choices

When advertising or analytics is enabled, we show a consent banner and operate under Google Consent Mode. By default — before you choose — ads are limited to non-personalized (no advertising cookies) and analytics cookies are off. When you choose "Accept", personalized ads and analytics cookies are enabled; if you choose "Reject", they stay disabled. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and you can change it by clearing your browser storage for this site.

Note that Consent Mode governs Google's advertising and analytics tags. The third-party ad network described above operates independently of that banner; to limit it, use the browser-level controls described in that section.

Data we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect or store the content you process in the tools. Code execution features run in your browser (and, for some languages, a local web worker) — your inputs stay on your device.
